We understand that buying pants online is far from easy, especially when you don't know your size. Sizes can vary depending on the brand, cut, and even the material: jeans , chinos , flannels, summer pants... it becomes even more complicated. That's why we've decided to simplify your task with this article and our very detailed size guides.

Do you already know your US size?
That's already something, but it's not enough. You'll also have to revise your addition tables; we're not worrying too much about that, it should be fine.
This will be very quick, so be careful. Simply take your US size and add +10 to get your French size. If you are a US size 32, you are a French size 42.

FOR MEN
You're starting from scratch and don't know your American or French size. So we're going to have to go back to the good old methods: the tape measure . Taking your measurements scares you: don't panic, we'll explain everything.
Measure your waistline
dnjvhbjf
Stand up straight and exhale normally.
Wrap your tape measure around your abdomen at the deepest point.
Make sure it is neither too loose nor too tight.

Divide the number of centimeters obtained by 2
Example: 80cm/2 = Size 40.
That's it, you have your French size. Easy as pie.

FOR WOMEN
We proceed in the same way, but with the pelvic circumference:
Measure your hip circumference

Place the tape at the widest point at the hips , i.e. mid-buttocks.
dnjvhbjf
Divide the number of centimeters obtained by 2
Example: 72cm/2 = Size 36.
We hope that with these tips, you now know your size and that buying pants online will no longer be so scary!
Do all brands fit the same?
You may have noticed, but there are indeed small differences between brands. Fortunately and logically, these differences are minimal , because the sizes are simply standardized .
So as a general rule, once you have the right measurements, you can take the same size everywhere . The difference will then be played out in the style and identity of the brands as well as the cuts of the pants they offer, sometimes more fitted, sometimes more oversized .
You can find all the correspondences in our size guide .
Up to you !
