During this time of year, we tend to get caught up in the frantic rush for Christmas gifts and neglect preparing our holiday outfits.
At LePantalon, we've compiled a list of our top 3 favorite pants for the holidays, so you don't rush into the good old gray suit worn every Tuesday at the weekly office meeting.
#1 Party Pants: Flannel
Even in the middle of winter, dare to wear light colors to brighten up your looks. Here, we chose Light Gray. To accompany it, we opted for the very classic but oh-so-effective white shirt and navy blazer duo.
For the shirt, we preferred a white shirt with a classic collar , in double-twisted cotton poplin from Hast.
Double-ply cotton is woven from yarns made up of 2 or 3 strands interwoven together.
Thanks to this weaving technique, double-twisted cotton shirts are particularly pleasant to wear, silkier and with great hold.
The jacket is in navy blue combed wool flannel from the house of Vitale Barberis Cannonico, you can find it at The Nines.
Finally, for this look, we adopted double-buckles from British Shoes. Double-buckles are particularly well-suited to dressy looks . They are less formal than Oxfords, and much more original than derbies.
Pants #2 for the holidays: Pleated Chinos
The Pleated Chino will enhance your silhouette and give a dandy touch to your look.
In Bordeaux or Blue, the choice is yours!
In both cases, to dress the Pleated Chino , we have chosen a shirt in softer and more neutral tones such as white and sky blue.
Both shirts are from Howard's. Made of cotton poplin, they fit perfectly without any unsightly excess fabric.
To structure your silhouette, pair your outfit with a jacket. It will be a welcome addition if you're heading out onto the balcony or into the garden.
On your feet, find a pair of double-buckle shoes from Septième Largeur and a pair of cognac-colored derbies from Pied de Biche. The most important thing is to be comfortable so you can dance the night away.
Pants #3 for the holidays: Velvet
The velvet is cut from an Italian knit from Duca Visconti with fine, ultra-tight ribbing for a velvety feel. A trendy material that will enhance any look!
Velvet, the central piece of the outfit, is paired with a white Oxford shirt from Hast, a pair of brown derbies from Bobbies and our Brown Leather Belt, the Navy Blue Velvet is perfectly suited for a New Year's Eve party with friends.
And remember, elegance is all about the details . Poorly maintained, creased, or poorly polished shoes can quickly ruin a carefully crafted look.
