Pourquoi les Soldes ce n’est pas le genre de la maison ?

Why aren't sales the house's style?

The big biannual consumer mass – more commonly known as the Sales – opens its doors this Wednesday and we decided not to enter.
Actually we never went in there and you all probably know why.
If in doubt, we will explain.

What do we say about the concept of need?

We're talking about it more and more, but we'll repeat it: it's really time to ask ourselves the question at least twice: "Do I need this item of clothing or should I not miss this exceptional reduction?"

In the first case, we won't be able to hold you back; in the second, we'd advise you to give up. Buying for the sake of buying would reinforce the mechanisms of overconsumption, and therefore overproduction, and therefore the destruction of the planet. It sounds strong, but it is.

More than for the planet, we can also give you a reason to do it for yourself, but it's your wallet that will speak for itself best.

This is where we talk to you about Slow fashion .

Slow fashion for English speakers , slow fashion for literal translation, sustainable fashion for LePantalon (and many others, thankfully). This frantic shopping spree called Sales is anything but slow. It is not without consequences, since it generates pollution and irrational waste.

We buy twice as many clothes as we did 20 years ago , we get rid of them twice as quickly, industry produces twice as much, we don't recycle twice as much.

This involves twice the use of chemicals and synthetic materials, which emit three times more CO2 than cotton. Not to mention the time it takes for these materials to degrade and the impact they have on the marine environment.

The less we buy, the less negative impact they have, the better we buy, the more they disappear...

We are focusing on “better”.

On our scale, we're not revolutionizing, but we're truly taking action. In fact, our model is built on the opposite of everything just mentioned. We thought about our pants, chose the materials, and conducted our tests with one goal: to make them last.

Furthermore, the word seasonality doesn't exist for us, as we offer a range of timeless pieces to be worn all year round within reason. In any case, you can always buy flannels in July and swimsuits in December. No seasons, no waste, no bargain sales, no overconsumption. That's good because our prices are fair all year round.

If we had to ask ourselves one last question: "Should I buy three pairs of poor quality pants for the price of one good quality pair?" We all have the answer.

Sales, LePantalon style.

We would like to thank you all the same,
you who support our approach.

So we chose to reward
your loyalty differently.
