The cotton canvas of our Chinos and Bermudas
Made in the European Union from premium canvas woven in Italy, our chinos are both soft and very comfortable. This cotton canvas is made of 98% cotton twill and 2% elastane, which explains why they will relax slightly after a few wears, and they do not squeeze the leg too much.
What's more, the fabric rolls are dyed before our chinos are made. This prevents the pants from becoming too loose in places and prevents size variations between our different products. You can't go wrong!
The denim of our Selvedge Jeans
If you don't know what "selvedge" means, check out the short pants glossary here . Simply put, the edge of our denim fabric is finished during the weaving process. This makes it sturdier and prevents it from fraying. The result? A stronger pair of jeans, a very tight weave, and a red trim on the inside of the pants, which shows when you hem them. The weave will stretch over time, since we've added 1% elastane to soften it!
Our denim comes from the famous Candiani house, created in 1983. The house is also eco-responsible, and therefore meets the values that are important to us at LePantalon. We have chosen not to treat this canvas, no washing, no modifications. The canvas and the color are raw, so your jeans will fade on their own over time, to create a unique wash and shades of blue, to become your jeans.
The denim of our Jean Brut
Made in our workshops in Portugal, our Raw Denim is made from 12oz denim woven in Spain. This fabric is made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane. This small detail is what gives these pants their comfort and flexibility. We've taken the details even further with our jeans by making the trim on our leg seams in our original LePantalon floral-patterned fabric.
The canvas selected for our Raw Denim is not treated so that it will fade over time, with wearing, washing, etc. Its color will gradually evolve to become unique.
The pure wool flannel of our Flanelle
Our flannel pants are made from 100% pure wool flannel woven in Italy by the renowned Vitale Barberis Canonico house. To learn all about the manufacturing process of this wool, you can read our article on this subject .
This 340g/m2 pure wool flannel has a very aesthetic felted finish. The material offers incredible protection against the cold and is very soft and comfortable. An exceptional fabric, for an exceptional product 😉
